The beach, boardwalk, and surrounding area provides a ton of different options for wedding photography at the Atlantic Sands. Plan extra time to take your whole bridal party and family out on the beach for group shots. They are a lot of fun and if you have an evening ceremony there will not be as many other visitors on the public beach. As with any beach wedding, shade is limited, so be prepared to take most of your outdoor photos in the full sun. That’s a benefit in our book though. It’s the shore! Embrace it!

Pre wedding preparations on site at Atlantic Sands are very convenient. The hotel provides excellent accommodations and you can reserve as many rooms as you require. They have a number of larger suites as well including a “bridal suite” should you need extra space for large bridal parties. The rooms are tastefully decorated and have plenty of window light which is perfect for great looking preparation photography.

The biggest perk of having your wedding here is of course an oceanfront wedding. Beach wedding ceremonies at Atlantic Sands include the use of white folding chairs and a beautiful arch with optional add-ons such as lanterns and beach-themed decors.

We love outdoor weddings on the beach because there is plenty of room for guests to sit and for your photographers to move around without being a distraction.

If you prefer an indoor ceremony or if the forecast calls for rain, Atlantic Sands has a total of 10,000 square feet of event space to help host your indoor wedding ceremony. One of the larger indoor areas is the grand ballroom, which contains 3,000 square feet.

Atlantic Sands has a total of 10,000 square feet of event space, accommodating a wide range of wedding reception styles. The grand ballroom is 3,000 square feet and can seat up to 275 guests. One of our favorite features of the grand ballroom is the floor to ceiling windows. They provide a ton of natural light for daytime and evening receptions. The sunsets here are spectacular!

Atlantic Sands weddings are easily accessed from Delaware Rt. 1. Your guests will not find any lack of nightlife and accommodations in town. There are also some great restaurants and recreational options in the area if your guests are staying for the weekend.
