welcome

Since 2007 we have been providing wedding photography, portrait photography, wedding videography, photo booth rentals, video booth rentals, and our exclusive Photo Blast service for couples and families in Delaware, Philadelphia, New Jersey and Maryland.

If you are looking for a Delaware wedding photographer or Philadelphia wedding photographer, you’ve come to the right place!

our style

Our style of wedding photography as a mix of traditional, lifestyle and photojournalism. This means we are always looking for honest and candid moments but step in and provide direction and styling when needed.

For portrait sessions we strive to provide a fun, relaxed environment for our clients and help them “fall into a pose.”  It is the most important thing we can do to make your portraits look great.

During ceremonies and formalities, our number one goal is to remain unobtrusive while capturing great moments and not distract you and your guests.

Our aesthetic is classic and uncomplicated.  We try to avoid fads and aim to provide you with timeless photos that you will love for years to come.

Most of our couples reserve their package 9 – 15 months in advance of their date.  Even if your date is coming up very soon, often times we can help!  Simply contact us or check availability for your date on our “BOOK ONLINE” page. We have a large team of excellent photographers and event staff, so we can likely meet your needs!

It’s hard to give a generalization, as every wedding is different. Typically, you will receive about 60-75 photos per “useful hour” of photography. Remember, time spent driving between locations doesn’t allow us to make images. Secondarily, the amount of “action” in your wedding can dramatically affect the number of photos. We have shot three hour weddings that resulted in 500 pictures, and we have shot seven hour weddings that resulted in only about 250 pictures. It all depends on the specifics of your event. Don’t worry about count. It’s the actual events of the day that matter. You will receive the best photos taken, as selected by our staff. As we are judged by the quality of our work, we retain creative control of all photos delivered. Photos that we elect to not include in the delivery set are not availble for review.

We are glad to accept a list of family groups that you would like us to take. We are great photographers, but we do not know the people in your families. We even provide a planning tool that allows you to select which photos you would like, and helps to give you a time estimate for your photography. However, please do not ask us to work from a list that you found on a website or in a magazine. We insist on having the freedom to capture your day as it happens, rather than being limited by a specific list.

Of course. It’s not required, but we’re glad to offer it if you’d like to add it to your package. A lot of what we offer is designed to make you comfortable with us and our services.  We generally suggest waiting until a few weeks before the wedding, so that things are close enough to be of concrete value. If you don’t opt for a meeting prior, your photographer will reach out to you in the week before your wedding to make final confirmations.

We complete all of our editing and post-production in about 4-7 weeks. Rush processing is available as an option on your contract.

We include the first 90 minutes of one-way travel at no cost to you. Longer distances may be subject to a travel cost, all depending on your location. Our online booking can calculate a custom quote for you, should you be outside our no-cost range. Travel before and after the event is not counted against your package time. Travel between locations during the event does count against your package time.

As you’ve likely noticed, we are quite up-front about our packages and pricing. We have always felt that by advertising our lowest prices from the beginning, you’ll know exactly the total investment. Although we do not offer any discounts for combined services, ask us about our liberty minded pricing.

We typically wear all black.  Our usual dress is black pants, black shirt, and black sneakers.  In the summer, we tend to wear polo shirts.  In the winter, we tend to wear oxford shirts.  As our coverage is very journalistic, and often very active, we do not wear suits & ties while shooting.  Female staff may opt to wear dresses.

We put all of efforts into delivering completed weddings to our couples as quickly as possible.  As such, we do not produce “teaser” photos prior to the online gallery being posted.

Not to worry.  We have a large team of skilled photographers.  If something happens to your photographer, we have others available for you.

Yes.  We accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover.  We are unable to accept American Express.

We always arrive at least an hour prior to opening to make sure everything is set up and ready to go. We like to leave extra time, just in case!

We require a minimum of 8′ x 8′ for the Enclosed Booth and 10′ x 10′ for the Open Booth. To avoid long lines and traffic jams, the photo booth must not be set up near the bar.

All of our Photo Booth packages include an attendant, unlimited copies and sessions, custom branding on the strips, your choice of backdrop, wacky props, and a USB drive of all of the photos.

Be mindful of your surroundings. Don’t position yourselves so that you will be “staring into the sun” during your vows. It’s uncomfortable, and you won’t get as many good pictures. Additionally, check your venue in advance for prime photo spots.
Check the sunset times for your wedding day. Although sunset allows for creative and beautiful photos; don’t run late. Sunset waits for no bride.
Always have a backup plan, in case of inclement weather.

ask us!

We would love to hear from you! Please tell us as much about your event as possible. We answer most messages within a few hours. If you are ready to reserve your date, feel free to BOOK ONLINE at any time.

General Questions

Our company is divided between Nikon and Canon equipment. It’s really a matter of preference between our photographers. Each of our team carries two or three of “everything that matters” so that you are protected from equipment failures and breakage.

We do not offer raw images or raw video. As we are ultimately judged by the product that we produce, we insist on having quality control over the finished product.

We’ve found that selective color photos are vey popular with our brides. If you like them, remember that “color” is the most important part of “selective color”. You will likely be wearing a white dress, so be sure to have a vibrant bouquet. White flowers don’t make interesting selective color images, so go bold.

We offer an option just for these cases. We offer two versions, planning only, and photo coverage. Should you want either of these options, be sure to choose them when filling out your contract. In the case of rehearsal attendance, make sure to let us know as early as possible; so that we can have the date available.

We know you will be excited to see your photos! We concentrate on delivering completed weddings to our couples as quickly as possible.

We do not provide teaser photos, however, we always include a preview set of our favorite images in a mobile gallery around 2-3 weeks after the wedding. Typically you’ll receive 50-100 edited images in a mobile gallery app while we finish up the full set. Mobile galleries are only included with our 7-hour, 9-hour, and 12-hour packages.

We don’t take “table shots” or do “video interviews” for a very good reason… As a rule, guests feel very pressured and awkward in these situations. If you would like “table shot” photographs, we recommend that you visit the tables at your wedding, and have your guests pose with you. They are always more receptive to the couple than a photographer alone. As for “video interviews”… We recommend our Video Booth for this very purpose. It gives your guests privacy and time to prepare themselves without any pressure. It gives a far better result.

Given the option, the best time for outdoor photos is usually about an hour before sunset. Remember, sunset times change by the season. Always plan to have your outdoor photos finished before the sun is down. Although we can shoot them in the dark, they look much better with natural light.

albums and prints

Of course! We have lots of options for wedding albums to fit the needs of all of our couples. Our hand made albums are a great addition to any wedding package!

You are welcome to order your albums when you reserve your photography package, after you’ve received your gallery, or any other time you’d like. We do not have any “cut-offs” for albums.

Absolutely! The quality of our albums is best experienced in person. We would love to have you visit for an album consultation to see what would be the best fit for you.

As many of our albums are hand made, you have the choice of a variety of different cover materials and colors. The linen, suede, and leather are the most popular.

Our signature albums come in a wide range of sizes and layouts including 8×8, 8×10, 10×10, 12×12, 12×16, and more. Our Coffee Table Albums are offered in 10×10 and 8×8. The choice is entirely up to you!

Once we have your favorites list of photos we will send you a preview in just a few days. After you approve the final layout, albums will arrive to our studio in about 1-2 weeks. Shipping to your location is available upon request for an additional cost, depending on the album(s) you purchase.

Each couple and wedding is unique, and our albums are designed to reflect your individuality. Our team of graphic artists is happy to customize the layout of your album. If you have special requests, let us know!

Albums are quite heavy and require additional insurance when shipping. All album prices are based on customer pick-up. If you would prefer to have us ship the album to your location there would be an additional cost of $30 per album.

portrait photography

Generally speaking the Spring, Summer, and Fall are the best time of year for portrait photography, however, Winter / Holiday sessions are encouraged as well. For the best sunsets, we recommend the Spring or Fall.

Typically family portraits and engagement sessions are around 60 – 90 minutes in length.

We certainly want you to be comfortable and we recommend comfortable footwear. The rest is up to you! You are welcome to wear coordinated outfits and/or multiple different looks for your photos. We are happy to give you suggestions on color choices if you’d like.

You will receive your edited photos in a gallery online. We’ll email you the link as soon as they are ready. You’ll be able to download the high resolution set right from your gallery.

Every portrait session is a bit different. On average, you can expect between 60 and 75 photos per shooting hour for engagement sessions.

Absolutely! We offer a wide range of prints, canvases, and wall art. They come in a variety of different sizes from 4×6 all the way up to 30×40. We have traditional prints, metal prints, and canvas gallery wraps available, among others. You’ll be able to order everything right through your online gallery.

Although “Save the Date” cards are not something that we offer, you are welcome to use your images to make some of your own. We are glad to recommend some great places to have them made for you.
